Student Council

The Student Council is the voice of the student body. They are elected by their classmates and are responsible for promoting harmonious relations throughout the entire school. The Council meets, organizes, implements, and evaluates regular student activities and special events.

They oversee the Education Committee, the Events Committee and the Student Life Committee, each of which holds important responsibilities.

Education Committee

The Education Committee puts forward initiatives that promote academic excellence, such as suggesting articles or summer programs, sharing opportunities for academic competitions, bringing in guest speakers, and organizing study sessions. In previous years, they have also put together a school trip to the International Book Fair in Guadalajara.

Events Committee

The Events Committee is responsible for the organization, logistics and development of ideas for extracurricular activities and special events, such as Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and Spring Formal. This committee also works hand-in-hand with faculty to put together our yearly Harkness Camp.

Student Life Committee

The Student Life Committee is responsible for the initiatives that lookout for the well-being of the student community. They might bring cookies for all students right before the December holidays or fundraise to make the Student Lounge cozier. They are also responsible for Spirit Week.
